Robert Waring
Trustee-designate and Data Protection Lead
A qualified teacher, Robert Waring has worked in teaching and lecturing roles across key stages, as well as student mentorship and curriculum delivery.
Throughout his career he has supported educators and learners, developing a strong understanding of workplace issues, professional development and evidence-based practice in educational settings.
Robert’s experience includes involvement in school governance, with direct participation in accountability, decision-making and institutional oversight. Robert participates in safeguarding groups relating to children and vulnerable adults, and holds expertise in special educational needs provision.
Robert holds an MA in Education, with a focus on pupil engagement, and a diploma in employment law.
As a Trustee-designate of Protect and Teach CIC, he brings practical frontline experience together with his commitment to safeguarding the developing mind and supporting evidence-based, age-appropriate education in line with the organisation’s vision of guardianship, reason, open inquiry and meritocratic principles.
Robert is committed to helping Protect and Teach deliver its aims through responsible governance, policy scrutiny and a focus on protecting children while promoting positive educational outcomes grounded in Enlightenment values.
